Para os possíveis interessados, segue-se o abstract da sessão:

Empirical science is a permanent change of theories, paradigms and related methods. The bad news is that there is not just one way to resolve problems of empirical science and give an answer to research problems. This presentation gives me the chance to look back on methods that are related to signals our bodies produce. The presentation includes some actual examples for the use of selected methods for scientific research as well as for applied research. The methodological focus here is on eye tracking. The theoretical, technical and methodological foundations of eye tracking will be underlined by examples. On the other hand, every method has some restrictions. So, another objective of this presentation is to weight the PROs and CONs of eye tracking. Last not least eye tracking is sometimes combined with other methods that are labelled as ‘psychophysiological’ methods. All of us have some experiences with an electrocardiogram, some with EEG or other bioelectrical signals. According with big data one of the major problems is the integration of data from different sources into one file to enable an interaction analysis. This presentation ends with one proposal for a synchronization and leaves space for feedback, questions and discussion.”
