Abstract:
“Teacher education programs emphasize integrating information and communication technology (ICT) in their curricular in order to provide future teachers with the opportunity to plan ICT integration in their classrooms (Glaser, Hannafin, & Song, 2005). Today’s teachers face new educational challenges since the increasing complexity of the information technology, different kinds of literacy must be developed. Several political measures have been adopted in different countries that include the provision of schools with digital equipment and teacher education programs. Given better and faster access to the Internet services, a growing number of authors argue for the use of blended learning (blended (b) Learning) approaches in teacher education programs. This paper gathered experience from the three cycles of Higher Education to synthesize a set of guidelines for bLearning in Teacher Education in order to promote the literacy and skills that teachers are expected to develop.”
